Job Description

Reporting to the Dean of Technical Sciences, the Building Pathways Apprenticeship Grant Manager will provide leadership, direction, and effective management of the Department of Labor Building Pathways Apprenticeship Grant and the Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Development Project (AMWDP) in compliance with guidelines from the Nevada System of Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Labor. Primary responsibilities focus on recruitment and case management for both students and employers to meet required grant deliverables. This is a grant funded position with funding through September 30, 2028; a renewable contract for this position is contingent upon available funds from secured grants.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

2. Three years of experience in a combination of grant management, education, and/or workforce development.

3. Two years program oversight responsibilities that include budgeting, data collection and report writing.

4. Management or supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's degree from an accredited institution.

2. Previous experience with Department of Labor programs.

3. Knowledge of the processes to develop and manage registered apprenticeships.

4. Three years of experience as a principal investigator or with oversight of a grant-funded program.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage grant activities to meet performance outcomes and project deliverables.

2. Supervise grant project staff.

3. Collect, track, and report data on quarterly and annual performance.

4. Conduct and partner on outreach activities to diverse employers, community groups, students, and partner agencies.

5. Respond timely to and work collegially with the TMCC Grants team.

6. Modify grants as needed, including revisions to budget and/or scope of work.

7. Develop procedures and business practices designed to ensure the financial and operational compliance of grant activities.

8. Collaborate with other grant managers, principal investigators, and workforce development intermediaries to maximize resource availability to support eligible programs.

9. Provide regular progress reports to the Dean, including solutions to any workplan setbacks encountered.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits Information:

Salary: $61,501 - $76,876 initial salary placement will be dependent on education level and years of experience.
