Position Announcement


Utah Valley University is seeking a Program Manager! The Program Manager will assist the Program and Clinical Directors in all aspects of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the graduate level, especially related to clinical placements. Advises and mentors prospective and current graduate students related to their academic coursework and clinical experience. Seeks clinical placements, fosters and expands community relationships. Assists with organizing, planning, and implementing program events and accreditation processes. Assists with student professionalism and evaluation processes. Maintains current student clinical experience statistics and accreditation data. Maintains strong working relationships with community partners, which includes placing and supervising students in clinical placements.

Summary of Responsibilities


  • Assists Program and Clinical Directors in all aspects of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program, especially related to clinical placements and the accreditation cycle of assessment.
  • Advises and mentors prospective and current students related to their clinical experiences and academic courses.
  • Seeks clinical placements, fosters and expands community relationships. Assists with planning, organizing, and implementing program events and accreditation processes.
  • Actively engages in student recruitment.
  • Participates in the evaluation of student professional behavior, and maintains current student evaluation data.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with community partners which will include placing and supervising students in clinical placements. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field plus a minimum of two years experience OR any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling six years.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities


  • Knowledge of all aspects of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the graduate level.
  • Skills in maintaining current student program/clinical accreditation and student experience statistics, administering and reviewing field evaluations within a computerized system.
  • Superior organization and computer skills, including using Google Drive/docs/sheets and Qualtrics.
  • Ability to advise and mentor prospective and current graduate students related to the program, clinical placements, and academic courses.
  • Ability to seek field placements and foster and expand community relationships.
  • Ability to advertise the program to prospective students and recruit qualified applicants.
  • Ability to assist with organizing, planning, and hosting program events.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with community partners, which will include placing and supervising students in practicum/internship placements.
