Position Summary:
This position is expected to respond to students in crisis, follow up on CARE (Coordinate, Assessment, Response, and Education) concerns, and engage regularly with residents in their area.
Duties may include:
- Supervise 8- 20 student staff and one Senior Resident Assistant
- Provides assistance to residents
- Advises community council and oversees the facilitation of community development
- Leads retention efforts in area assigned
- Serves as a conduct hearing officer
- Assists with University and departmental recruitment efforts, and performs administrative and managerial tasks associated with the assigned area
- Work collaboratively in smaller team groups to direct and coordinate various departmental projects
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or four additional years (five total) of leadership experience
- One year leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education:
- Masters Degrees in Higher Ed, Counseling or Social Work
Experience with/in:
- Residence life
- Organization, and decision-making
- Supervising staff
- Creating and promoting an inclusive community
- Crisis management
- Working with college-aged students and fostering student success
- Managing a variety of projects simultaneously
