Salary: $40,300 - $59,800

Position Information:
Provides administrative and advising support to the AGSM Advising and Student Services Office. Assists the Director and Graduate Advisor with providing exceptional service to the graduate population, alumni, and faculty. Helps with academic scheduling, enrollment, and fellowships for the graduate business programs. Processes TA and Reader contracts; liaises with the HR office to ensure Academic Student Employees (ASE) follow UAW protocols.

Education:
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Required
Advanced degree in Counseling, Student Development, Education, or related area

Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Minimum Requirements:
Interpersonal skills.
Customer service orientated
Strong attention to detail
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel
Knowledge of complex U.S. visa and immigration procedures, compliance issues, and employment eligibility/authorization for international students and scholars.
Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance.
Ability in problem identification and reasoning; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
Working knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Banner and other UCR Information Systems

Experience working with students in business school environment

Knowledge of University processes and procedures

Understanding of University rules and regulations
