General Position Description:
Designs and implements recruiting marketing and job placement strategies to attract students and employers to the Accelerated Skills Training Programs (AST). Marketing strategies must target community partners, high schools, diverse and underserved communities, employers and other key business partners. This role includes responsibilities for recruiting prospective students, providing in-class support services, developing and maintaining employer relationships and job placement assistance.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Sets, monitors and achieves objectives as directed by the Director of Recruiting and Job Placement. Recruits and achieves job placement at 90% to goal for each objective with candidates that are appropriate for selected programs.
2. Strategically plans a variety of marketing strategies and outreach initiatives (possibly outside of normal working hours) that promote and attract potential students, employers and community partners to the Accelerated Skills Training Programs. Delivery modes to include, but not limited to, face-to-face events, virtual platforms, electronic media and one-on-one interactions.
3. Collaborates and informs Program Managers, Recruiting and Job Placement Team and Implementation Coordinators about recruiting and job placement activities, successes, challenges and obstacles. Works with the Social Media Manager to create marketing materials, social media messaging and program informational presentations targeted to a variety of groups such as students, parents, employers, and community partners.
4. Conducts ongoing evaluations of recruiting marketing activities/data/information for market-freshness and effectiveness. Makes real time strategy adjustments based on trending results. Provides regular updates on best practices, executes and proactively shares suggestions or actions to improve processes, effectiveness and goal attainment to the AST Leadership Team.
5. Manages responsibilities by exercising initiative, proactive planning/execution, independent judgement, critical thinking and data driven decisions for assigned programs. Identifies, develops, maintains and tracks professional relationships with community partners, employers, community leadership and internal partners.
6. Provides group and individual support to students prior to, during and after the completion of an AST Program to include frequent communication, in-person check-ins, placement surveys and discussions, resume development, mock interviewing and encouragement to apply for in-field positions.
7. Scans employment job boards and websites to identify potential hiring partners that align with the industries served through Accelerated Skills Training. Contacts companies to introduce the AST Programs and develop professional relationships to increase base of employers for programs. Manages communication to employers about eligible students/graduates available for employment and develops strategies to highlight current employer partners.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Required Field of Study:
Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.

Other Required Qualifications:
Experience in recruiting students to enroll in educational courses or programs.

General Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment and throughout the Colleges worksites and grounds. Within the professional office environment, the employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet and occasionally moderate.

While operating outside of the office environment, the employee may be exposed to elements including but not limited to wet/humid weather, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odors. The role may also involve hazards or physical risks, which require comprehending and following basic safety precautions and may require Personal Protection Equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to remaining stationary, moving, ascending/descending, positioning self, reaching, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-100 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.

Job Specific Working Conditions:
Must be able to travel locally on a flexible schedule, as needed. Must have reliable transportation, and proof of liability and property damage insurance on the vehicle used may be required. This position requires in-office and out-of-office (community) responsibilities that will vary on a daily / weekly basis. Must be willing to work some nights and weekends, as needed.
