Job Summary

The University of Colorado's Mountain Research Station in Nederland, CO is now accepting applications for Assistant Cooks for both AM and PM Shifts! (Details are outlined below). These positions will be responsible for preparing meals for Breakfast and Lunch (AM shift) and Dinner (PM shift) for 20-50 people, and occasionally up to 100 people. This is a Temporary position that is anticipated to last over the Summer from June 10th through August 21st, with occasional Saturdays. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Assist in the preparation, cooking, serving, and clean-up of meals.
This position often works only with the kitchen lead to perform all kitchen activities so willingness to participate in the full process from start to final clean-up is essential to success.
All meals are scheduled and typically serve 20-50 people.
Ability to work at a fast pace to meet serving time windows is also critical to success.

What You Should Know

These positions are anticipated to last from June 10th through August 21st.
Actual hours will depend on the number of guests and dates and will vary throughout the summer.

These positions are located at the Mountain Research Center in Nederland, CO.
Core hours for the Morning/AM shift are:

Monday - Friday from 5:30am - 10am
Saturday from 6am - 11am

Core hours for Evening/PM shift are:

Monday - Saturday from 3pm - 10pm
Saturday shifts are subject to change (some weekends no hours, some weekends more hours) Flexibility with hours and days worked required.

What We Can Offer

The hourly range for this position is $20 - $24 per hour.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

6 months experience in a food preparation / cook position.

What You Will Need

Food safety knowledge.
